Proteins are ‘the building blocks of muscle’. They are vital nutrients that everybody needs. While carbohydrates provide your body with energy it is protein that helps your body recover and repair its muscles following exercise. High protein foods include chicken, turkey and eggs, beef, soya and dairy produce.
